ZW Foundation is going the Extra Mile to keep the Boston Community safe.

ZW Foundation started donating Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) to Hospitals, Nursing homes, Fire Departments and Police Departments in Massachusetts to give a hand to the fight against COVID-19 pandemic. ZW Foundation, a Boston based non-profit organization, is tapping onto their contacts worldwide to gather resources for the Humanitarian cause of saving lives caused by COVID-19, co-founder Zomana Majid said.

The Personal Protection Equipment that ZW Foundation is donating will provide further protection again viruses for the doctors, nurses, care-givers, policemen and firefighters while handling the Corona virus infected people. These Protective equipment include Protective Hazmat suits, surgical face masks, surgical caps and protective body covers. These equipment are imported via air cargo to the US directly from the manufacturers in South-East Asia. The current list of 25 organizations to receive the equipment includes Newton-Wellesley Hospital, Emerson Hospital, Health and Human Services for the City of Worcester, Weston Police Department, Waltham Police Department, Weston Fire Department, Waltham Fire Department, Bridges by Epoch Assisted Living to name a few. ZW Foundation is planning to add more organizations to the list on a daily basis.

ZW Foundation’s mission is to provide support to help mitigate the Humanitarian crisis happening all around the world. Besides providing PPEs to major organizations in the US, ZW Foundation is also running a food donation program to the people in Bangladesh who had significant impact in their livelihood due to loss of work caused by nationwide lockdown for COVID-19 pandemic. Founders of ZW Foundation have been involved in women empowerment, illiteracy eradication, awareness against Human trafficking and nutrition programs for people in low developed countries.
